Bear Crawl Push-ups

Bear crawls are a great bodyweight mobility exercise. It is similar to a baby crawl but in this version you bear the weight on your hands and toes instead of your elbows.

Muscles targeted: arms, legs, shoulders and abs

Start by getting down on the ground on all fours with your knees a couple inches of the floor. Move your hands and body forward to a plank position. Lower your bodyweight to the ground by bending your elbows like you were doing a push-up. Return to the plank position and then move your hands and crawl back to your starting position. You’ve completed one rep.

Now do about 3 sets of 10 reps.

Mountain Climbers

Mountain climbers are a great total-body workout and build cardio endurance, core strength and agility.

Muscles targeted: arms, legs, chest, abs and hips

Start in the plank position with your shoulders directly over your head and wrists. Make sure that your back is flat and maintain a neutral spine. Flex your core (think of sucking in your belly towards your spine) and lift your right knee up to your elbow. Don’t worry if you can’t bring your elbow all the way up to your knee. Return your right knee to the starting position while at the same time moving you’re your left knee up towards your left elbow. Continue by switching legs while picking up the pace until it feels like you are running in a horizontal position.

Keep doing this for about 25 seconds for a total of 3 reps.

Froggers

The Frogger is a simple exercise that targets the entire body.

Muscles targeted: Arms, abs, glutes and legs.

Start with your body in a plank position making sure that your body is in a straight line from your head to your heels (A). Then jump both feet up to the outside of your hands, (be careful not to step on your fingers) keep your chest up and your butt down (B). Now you look like a frog, so that’s why they call it froggers. Jump your feet back to the start position and keep your body in plank position (A). Congratulations, you just completed one rep.

You can start by doing 3 sets of 10 reps, then increase to 3 sets of 25 reps and so on.
